Those of you who plan to buy new Windows 8 tablet PC might want to take a closer look at Acer Iconia W700. It is now powered by Intel Core i3 processors and packed with 11.6 inch touch screen that support for 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. Other than that, you will also get 4GB RAM, Solid State Disk, and stylus pen. Overall, Iconia W700 has lot more to offer than any other Windows 8 tablet that available around the market.
In addition, you can also use Acer Iconia W700 as a fully functioned laptop since the company decide to release an optional desktop docking station, wireless mouse, and keyboard as well. But for those of you who want more interesting function, i have a a really good news for you.
Recent report suggest that Acer will soon release a new variant of the tablet with model number Acer ICONIA W700P-5331G12. This new model will be shipped with built-in chassis that attached with a Bluetooth keyboard. It mean that you can slide out the keyboard anytime you want without having to worry leave extra space for the peripheral on your bag.
The new Acer Iconia W700 with Folio Case is spotted at Amazon Germany website. But same unit does not available in any US website at the moment. Probably they want to release it in Europe first, then decide to bring it to North America later.
Microsoft Surface Pro is the only Windows 8 tablet that able to match Acer Iconia W700′s offering. It is now priced at $899, but keyboard case is not included. On the other hand, Acer’s product pricing start at $1400. For that amount of money, you’ve already pay the value added tax and get the additional Folio Case.
