FT103: World’s Largest Android 4.0 Tablet from Japan Caught in Camera

Toshiba was able to made me surprise when they release Excite 13. A massive Android 4.0 tablet with 13.3 inch screen. I wonder how am i suppose to carry around a tablet with such massive display, but Toshiba has their own excuse. They said that the Excite 13 will be marketed for family use, so it is not ideal for personal use. Anyway, if you think that your house need larger tablet to please all the family member, then you must be happy to hear that Frontier, a Japanese based company, is recently release FT103. It is the largest Android 4.0 tablet in the world!

Frontier FT103 is currently sports 21.5″ screen! I’d rather call this one a TV than a tablet and it seems like the company is also agree with me. They call this one as Smart Display and since you can use it to extend the display of your laptop, tablet, or desktop PC, FT103 is definitely a smart TV. The fact that some media called it as the largest tablet is because it is currently work on Android 4.0 Ice cream sandwich with tablet interface.

Specs-wise, FT103 is quite promising. It’s massive screen is able to provide maximum 1920 x 1200 pixels resolution. It is also packed with 8GB internal data storage, a full gigabyte of RAM and carry on TI OMAP 4428 processors that clocked at 1.0GHz.

Other notable features from FT103 are the presence of full size USB ports, micro USB slot, microHDMI and regular HDMI input/output port. Other usual connectivity support like Bluetooth and WiFi are available. There’s also a 1.3 megapixels web camera to fulfill your web chat session need. You can even expand the internal data storage using the available microSD card slot.

So, if you’re looking for a big screen device to enjoy multimedia content together along with all your family member, FT103 will be the best alternative for you. Or you might have other device’s candidate?
