Today, we are manage to retrieve the user manual of the upcoming Nokia Asha 306. According to Stephen Elop, the company’s CEO, this handset will run on the latest S40 platform with full touch control system. Aside from the Asha 306, Nokia already introduce four new Asha S40 phones. They will be called as Asha 303, Asha 300, Asha 202, and Asha 203. Unlike the Nokia Asha 306, all of them will also packed with a full physical QWERTY keyboard.
Now, let’s back to the user manual. The classified document include some sketches of the upcoming phone. It seems like that the S40 system that used on this handset is not the ordinary Symbian platform. It is more like the one that we’ve already seen on the Asha 303. There are some addition like Android-style pulled down notification bar, which allow user to view missed call or unread message, change profile, open music player, disable/enable data connection, connect to WiFi network and turn the Bluetooth connection on/off.
Similar to Android and iOS, the new Asha 306 with S40 OS will feature three different home screen. The main screen will provide you with the shortcuts, favorite, and contacts. The second screen will feature apps list and the last one will be called as dialer, which is completely customizable.
Just like any other modern day platform, Nokia is also include the famous pinch-to-zoom feature on this new OS.
Nokia Asha 306 is expected to come out with a microSD card slot that able to read up to 32GB external memory card. GSM, WiFi, and Bluetooth connectivity are all supported. Not to mention that it is also posses a camera unit, which is not explained yet by Nokia up until now. According to latest rumor, the handset will be announced on the first week of July. But if you remember, the annual Nokia Connections event will occur at the end of June and it will be a perfect place to release this amazing handset.
