An downgraded version of Transformer Prime with quite identical hardware specs. The only reason why you might not interested with this tablet is because it is used a plastic coat instead of aluminum.
Still, there’s a huge buzzer around the web when Asus showcased the tablet for the first time at MWC 2012 in Barcelona. Lot of people that Transformer Pad 300 will be a good solution to bring next-gen Android tablet PC to customers who don’t have enough money to grab more advanced version like Asus Transformer Prime or Asus Transformer Pad Infinity.
Asus also use the release event to confirms some of the Transformer Pad 300 hardware specs. This tablet will run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Deep under it’s hood, lies Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core CPU that clocked at 1.2GHz, GeForce 12 GPU, 1GB RAM, and 16GB internal data storage. In terms of display, the tablet sports 10.1 inch screen with WXGA 1280×800 resolution and IPS LED technology.
Asus Transformer Pad 300 also carry on dual-cameras unit. The 8.0 megapixels primary camera unit is currently sit on the back side, while the secondary 1.2 megapixels shutter is placed on the front side. The rest of it’s technical details include WiFi, 3G, 4G, LTE connectivity, 22Wh Li-Po battery pack with 10 hours of lifetime, and optional keyboard dock with full QWERTY keys and extra 5 hours battery life.
