Rubenson refers to Amazon Appstore’s Test Drive feature, which allow customers to try the android apps before they finally decided to buy it.
Amazon Appstore was launched back on March last year with 4,000 apps. Now, the app store has grows quickly and those numbers are expand up to approximate 31,000 apps. There’s no information about how many apps that was sold or downloaded last year, but Amazon has a data about the most downloaded apps in the past 12 months. Cut the rope is on the first place, while Angry Birds come in second. Finally, it is Where’s My Water that manage to claim the third place.
Amazon Appstore’s success is determined by the company’s Kindle Fire. This 7.0 inch android tablet was launched back on November last year. It might unable to surpass Apple’s iPad in terms of sales, but the $199 Kindle Fire is already become the world’s best selling Android tablet. No wonders why the company is rumored to launch the next version of Kindle with 7 and 9 inch model this year.
