OnLive Release Windows 7 Desktop Plus for iPad, Now With Internet Explorer

Back on January, the famous cloud gaming service OnLive released a free version of it’s Windows 7 desktop for iPad. This feature makes iPad users able to run a Virtual Machine inside their tablet, allowing them to run Microsoft Office apps like excel, powerpoint, an others. Now, the company decided to release a new version of the app. In order to take advantage from this service, you have to subscribe to their $4.49 monthly plan. With that amount money, you’ll be able to run a virtual Windows 7 desktop in your iPad, which is now also packed with Internet Explorer.

Well, the addition is little bit awkward since the iPad‘s default Safari browser is more than capable to provide an excellent performance to users. But here’s where it got interesting. Internet Explorer one of web browser that support for Adobe Flash content, which is currently not supported by all Apple’s devices. Anyway, you’ll also have direct access to some useful features like Dropbox, Gmail and Google Docs.

We’re already spend some time with this new version of Desktop Plus. So far, we are quite pleased. There’s no glithc or bugs at the moment.

The company also shows their commitment to release the pro version of Desktop Plus in the future. The pro will be packed with 50GB data space, allowing users to download more PC apps into their iPad. When it is released, the Desktop Pro will cost you $9.99 per month.
