Acer Iconia Tab A200 was supposed to made it’s first public appearance on January 15. But for unknown reason, Acer decided to announce it little bit earlier on January 12. Now, the tablet is already available at BestBuy. However, it seems like that A200 is an A500 (Acer’s previous tablet) that receive some improvement in software.
When it was released for the first time on last year, Acer Iconia Tab A500 sports 10.1 inch screen with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution display. It is powered with a Nvidia Tegra 2 CPU, alongside with 1GB RAM and 8/16GB internal data storage. There’s some useful ports like USB, microUSB, microSD card slot, and 3.5 mm audio jack. The tablet is currently work under Android 3.2 Honeycomb.
Acer Iconia Tab A200 carry on similar specs, but the CPU has been replaced with more powerful Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processors. It also receive some UI tweak. You’ll see an HTC Sense-like lock screen, which will let you access your favorite shortcuts by dragging the unlock bubble into the app icon.
This tablet will be shipped with Android 3.2 Honeycomb, but will be upgraded to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich at some points. BestBuy is currently offer the 16GB version of Acer Iconia Tab A200 for $349.99
