You can buy and read thousands of e-book titles from Barnes & Noble store, which also has plenty of android apps to offer.
Since it is released for the first time on November, hackers have figured out a way to sideload android apps, install Android market apps, and block B&N apps on Nook tablet.
Now, member of XDA developer forum that known as cfoesch has come out with new tool that contain some best modification pack for Nook tablet.
This tool is currently dubbed as Snowball-mod and it will bring Nook tablet as close as it could, to a custom ROM-look. As you might already know, Nook Tablet‘s bootloader file is currently locked. So, it should take a while before someone actually find out a way to load a custom ROM into Nook Tablet.
By installing snowball-mod into your Nook Tablet, you will gain some feature like root access and remove all B&N custom apps. This mod will also automatically install AWD launcher, busy box, Android Terminal Emulator, Button Savior, some CyanogenMod 7 packages and commands into your Nook Tablet. You don’t have to worry about new update that will wipe all of your root access, because this mod will also block all over-the-air update.
Please note that this mod is only support for Nook Tablet with OS 1.4.0. If you already install OS 1.4.1, you can go back to previous OS version by performing factory reset. This action will wipe all of your data, but snowball-mod will also do similar thing.
