Even with so many achievements until now, it seems that Samsung never satisfies in adding its product line ups with something new. It already cannot be denied that Samsung has held a strong grip in both Android tablet and smartphone market. With that in mind, Samsung still wants to jump into other market to fight against its competitors. Now, what Samsung aims is the the pc slate market by announcing its Samsung Series 7 Slate that runs on Windows 7 Home Premium. Well, this is quite a surprise since Windows 8 is just up ahead for several more months. Yet, it seems that Samsung does not want to waste even a minute in competing in existing markets.
The Samsung Series 7 itself comes with an 11.6-inch touch screen with 1366 x 768 pixels resolution, 1.6 GHz Intel Core i5 processor with Intel HD Graphics 3000 Dynamic Video Memory Technology, 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of Solid State Drive (SSD), 3 MP rear camera and 2 MP front camera, bluetooth, WiFi, and optional digitizer pen and slate dock.
Just by looking at those specs, we can already assume that the Samsung Series 7 Slate will go head-to-head with the Asus Eee Slate and HP Slate 2. The Samsung Series 7 Slate will be priced at $1,299,49 and will hit the market in early next year. As for the wireless keyboard and slate dock, they are priced at $100 and $80.
