This is a bad times for Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab owners. Samsung has officially announce that they’re not going to provide any Android 4.0 update for those two devices. The company said it is not possible to port Android 4.0 and Samsung TouchWiz on Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab because both of them don’t have required hardware specs.

However, Samsung Nexus S, which is also has similar specs to those devices, has already receive it’s own Android 4.0 update few days ago. Samsung Galaxy S has the same 1 GHz processor and there’s plenty of room on it’s internal data space to install the new OS

But the biggest obstacle that prevent Android 4.0 to come for Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab is the Samsung TouchWiz. The latest version of the user interface tweak system require more high-end technical feature. Maybe this is the reason why Nexus S is able to receive the update. Unlike Galaxy S, it has no Samsung TouchWiz and features like carrier service, video call, and mobile TV.
